I remember this one example, one of the sales guys I work with, who I like very much, was texting me about some things (and not important things) on a Sunday night, and it irritated me that he was texting me on a weekend when we have several other ways to communicate ie Slack, email, chat, meet. When this first started I didn't speak up or put up my boundaries because I didn't want to be difficult but I wish I had. Because this small infringement on my personal space and time can snowball.

  • Designated Work Hours: Stick to a consistent schedule to prevent work from spilling into personal time.

  • Unplugging: Avoid checking work emails or messages during off-hours.

3. Seek Support

Talking to someone about your burnout can be incredibly helpful. This might be a trusted colleague, supervisor, career coach, or a mental health professional. They can offer perspective, advice, and support.

4. Effective Time Management

Organizing your workday can prevent feelings of being overwhelmed. Prioritize tasks, set realistic deadlines, and take regular short breaks to maintain productivity without exhaustion.
